NEB's heat reclaim system recycles the heat that is exhausted from the building to help heat incoming fresh air.

NEB's chillers use free cooling when outside temperature is below 50°C, which allows chillers to shut off and still keep the building cool.

High efficiency motors and lights are used at NEB. The motor drives reduce the speed of motors when not in use.

NEB has partnered with MassRIDES, a program funded by the state and federal governments to support commuters.

Small copper fins on the outside of the NEB laboratory building increase
