Essex County Greenbelt and the Green Building Web Site:
In 2007, Greenbelt staff moved into its newly renovated, expanded and ‘green’ headquarters. We have been continuously amazed at the many ways that having a ‘green’ building has benefited the organization. A smaller carbon footprint and lower energy bills, regularly reinforces the organizational values of conservation, ecological integrity and appropriate use of cutting edge technology. A more comfortable and logical office layout has improved productivity and efficiency. What’s more, our new green building has made a strong positive impression on our constituency, giving us another venue to serve as a role model.
